About Robyn
I’m a panic-attack-adrenaline junky looking to explore the world!
To be honest, it’s sorta true, especially the panic attack thing. I guess this “About Robyn” should be kinda like a first date, where I try to justify my life choices and sound exotic, wonderful, and professional.
Here’s the beginning. . .
I was born in Cincinnati. My father is Jewish and my mother is Catholic. I’m a Cashew. From both parents, I received a healthy double scoop of guilt. I feel guilty about everything. If I said something awkward to you, I feel guilty. If I forgot to pay you back a buck, I also feel guilty. America screwed up the rest of the world, yes you guessed it, I feel guilty.
Anyway, at eighteen I moved to Chicago. You know the story, small town girl in the big city. Eventually, I began to study English at Northwestern University’s School of Continuing Studies.
Now I’m 22 years-old and I’ve never been out of the country. I decided to embark to Peru for two months. I leave June 17th. I will be working with children and studying Spanish at a volunteer organization called Traveller Not Tourist.
This blog is about my travel experiences and also will include Podcast interviews about Americans in Peru and Peruvians in America via Vocalo.org.
