A Special Post for Leah

This morning I watched the cartoon, Diego, with Maria Jose and Santiago (Francisco’s adorable niece and nephew).Today Diego had to ride a llama over the dangerous mountains, up and down, in order to return his library’s books on time! The llama also spoke English. (I’m not sure why, but he did.) Fortunately, Diego and his llama made it to the library on time. His books were NOT too late. And he picked out six new books to read! 

The moral of the story: You need a llama in order to return your library book on time.

The South American Diet

In three weeks, I’ve lost 18 lbs (8.2 kg for you worldly folk). I’d like to thank the stomach infection that landed me in the hospital, dehydrated and pale. I like to think Oprah would be jealous. 

On top of that, I also have a respiratory infection probably due to my normal allergies, magnified by traveling to a foreign location.  

In short, I feel fairly useless.
